Christmas Eve with the Ostler’s

After having a big Christmas dinner with Dan’s family, we laid out all of the school supplies that we had brought for our Christmas Service Project. Back at Thanksgiving time we started this project by sewing bags. Now it was time to assemble them with all the needed supplies. With the kids help we made an assembly line and got all 50 school bags filled with supplies for a little boy or girl in need. The kids had a fun time doing it and it felt good to do something for others on Christmas.

While a few of us adults were cleaning up after our big project, Dan, “the babysitter” occupied the grandkids with a little game of untangle the knot.

All of the cousins exchanged a gift, and then we finished out our day with a few games, some visiting, dessert, and watching the nativity video, starring all of the grandkids:)

Next stop… Home to get into our new Christmas P.J.’s and get into bed before Santa comes!
