Camera Practice

I took my new camera out in the backyard this weekend to try it out. I asked the kids if anyone would like to be my model so I could practice taking pictures with my camera.

Being a model sounded pretty cool to them so they were all excited to help. The girls loved it. They felt like movie stars. All eyes on them, flashing lights, individual attention, moving around the yard from one set to the next. It was a real live photo shoot as far as they were concerned and they felt pretty special. (Vogue here we come!) The boys on the other hand , while excited at first, discovered after 3 shots that this modeling thing was over rated. They endured it... barely. And couldn't wait to get back to playing in the dirt.

All in all I had a great time taking some pictures,
or shall I say portraits : )of the kids.

I'm pretty sure I'll keep Damon around forever. That was hard work! I was sweating by the end of it and had mud all over my knees from crawling around in the grass.
Damon takes amazing pictures and knows so much! No matter how good I get I don't think I'll ever give up My #1 photographer.

I love your pictures! They turned out great! My favorite is Alaina hanging out the window.. The lighting and color are awesome.
Did you use Photoshop to edit the picture with the Bunny? If so, I would love to know what effect you put on it, the coloring is way cool!

Hey Jenne, I don't use photoshop yet. I just make changes like that on my Mac in iphoto. It is antique.

Sonja, I use Damon Fairchild over at Realife Photography in Richland.(943-8982) He's great at everything but I love what he does with babies, kids and families.
