Camera Practice

I took my new camera out in the backyard this weekend to try it out. I asked the kids if anyone would like to be my model so I could practice taking pictures with my camera. 

Being a model sounded pretty cool to them so they were all excited to help. The girls loved it. They felt like movie stars. All eyes on them, flashing lights, individual attention, moving around the yard from one set to the next. It was a real live photo shoot as far as they were concerned and they felt pretty special. (Vogue here we come!) The boys on the other hand , while excited at first, discovered after 3 shots that this modeling thing was over rated. They endured it... barely. And couldn't wait to get back to playing in the dirt. 

All in all I had a great time taking some pictures, 

or shall I say portraits : ), of the kids.

HUDSON wanted nothing to do with modeling. But he did have lots of fun being chased around the yard as I tried to take a good picture of him. I finally gave up and just took a quick shot of him inside on the couch.
