Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

It was Kase's turn for a preschool field trip out to the Pumpkin Patch today. We've been out to this pumpkin patch a lot over the years with the kids preschool and kindergarten classes. The kids always have a great time there.

I remember trying to go on this field trip with Alaina when she was my only kid in school and having to bring her 4 younger siblings with me. Eyecarumba! Let me just tell you, the 1-mom to 5-kids ratio at the pumpkin patch didn't go over very well. It was a little crazy to say the least. But no matter how stressed out mom is the kids are always having a blast.

This year was a piece of cake. Kase invited his little brother Hudson to go along on the field trip. So it was just the 3 of us. Kase has been there several times so he had fun showing Hudson the ropes...
Like how to pick out the perfect pumpkin...
How to correctly maneuver through the straw maze...
And what the world looks like from the top of the straw pyramid.
When Kase told me he wanted a really big pumpkin this year, I told him he can have whatever size pumpkin he could carry himself. So this is Kase showing me the size of pumpkin he was actually looking at bringing home this year. He tried as hard as he could to get this pumpkin off the ground and eventually the pumpkin on his lap was the one that ended up coming home with us.
Holy Pumpkin!
